In the main text, we preserve the version of FE (→GE1→GE2), devoid of accents in the L.H. in bars 466 and 470. In EE, accents were added in both bars, in GE3 – only in bar 470. We consider the additions to be unjustified due to the function of this bar in the structure of the two- and four-bar section – see bar 458. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , GE revisions |

A simplified notation with respect to analogous bar 427 may result from Chopin's mistake in A. The composer wrote the part of the R.H. from bar 465 by mistake, which he then crossed out, and wrote the correct text on a stave placed directly under the viola part. Consequently, he did not have enough space to point the additional stems upwards. category imprint: Editorial revisions issues: Deletions in A |

Due to the crossings-out, the discussed bar is written in A on an adjacent stave, which creates doubts concerning the slur with which it is embraced, i.e. whether it is to be a continuation of the previous slur or not (a similar doubt concerns also the link with the next slur). GE (→FE→EE) started a new slur in this place, whereas the proposal in the main text corresponds to the authentic slurring in analogous bars 426-427. category imprint: Editorial revisions |

The continuous slur suggested in the main text corresponds to the authentic slurring in analogous bars 427-428. In A (→GE→FE→EE), a new slur begins in bar 468, however, due to crossings-out in bar 467, the notation may be inaccurate – see the note at the beginning of the bar. category imprint: Editorial revisions |

According to us, the absence of a staccato mark over the 1st quaver is an oversight. In the main text, we suggest a wedge, since it appears in the majority of similar places. The mark was added here already in GE. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: GE revisions |
