A copy of FE3 from a collection of works by Chopin belonging to his pupil, Jane Stirling. It includes numerous annotations, written in pencil or indicated by Chopin:

  • fingering in bars 1, 16, 20, 28, 31, 42;
  • lesson signs of a vague meaning (diagonal crosses and others) in bars 14, 17, 69-70 and at the end of Marche;
  • deletions of top notes of broad chords in bars 19-20, 73-74 and 81-82 (facilitation);
  • deletion of erroneous flats before the trilled minims in the L.H. in bar 20, 28, 74 and 82;
  • flat over the trill in bar 20;
  • change of d to B and an added B1-B octave (variant of transition to the D major section) in bar 30;
  • natural raising g1 to g1 in bar 40 (correction of a mistake);
  • change of g to e in bar 45;
  • slurs in the L.H. in bar 45 (correction of a mistake);
  • flat returning a in bar 46 (correction of a mistake);
  • f in bar 76 (correction of a mistake).
