Plate number: | T. 891 |
Title: | Sonate || Marche funèbre |
Dedication: | None |
The earliest known impression of FE whose copy was deposited by the editor in the Library of the Conservatoire de Paris as an obligatory deposit. No title chart and a significant number of mistakes (several dozen – cf. 1st mov.) suggest that it was one of the trial copies, still before proofreadings. In Marche the most significant mistakes include:
- no in bar 18 and analog. and 40 and 78;
- erroneous pitch of the trilled minim in bar 20 and analog.;
- d2-c2 instead of c2-b1 in the 1st half in bar 45;
- no middle notes of the chords in the R.H. in bar 71;
- no f on the 4th beat of bar 76;
- no indication of trill in bar 82.
FE1 was based on the same autograph of Chopin which was previously the base of GC.
