According to the cover information, GE3 includes only the version for one piano. It reproduces the text of GE2; some defects were corrected, and certain arbitrary changes were introduced. The revisers most frequently intervened in the ordering of accidentals – they added the still missing ones, e.g. in bar 327 or 367, and cautionary, e.g. in bar 119 or 368.
GE3 did not avoid new mistakes and inaccuracies, e.g. the accents in bar 50 were overlooked, the dot prolonging the f minim at the end of bar 63 or the arpeggio in bar 159.
After 1875, copies of GE3 with a changed cover were launched; the cover included up-to-date prices (a price in marks was added) and names and addresses of publishers – the Berlin publisher was added, Schlesinger (Lienau), while Tobi Haslinger was replaced by Ch. Haslinger qdm Tobias.
