Later impression of GE1, provided with one of the latest versions of the cover, which is indicated by the years 1848-1855 as the possible period of its publication. The presented copy is by far the only identified as coming from this impression.
In the entire book (including the first 6 Etudes), there is only one difference with respect to GE1, which is not a patent print defect, namely the error in bar 36 of the Etude in G
minor, No. 6. In the detailed notes we consider this impression (copy?) as a part of GE1 and we do not include it when mentioning the sources.
