b. 295-296

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

2 slurs to f1 in A & GE2

2 slurs to g1 in GE1 (→FEEE)

3 slurs to f1 suggested by the editors

..

The slurs of A are not entirely clear; however, it is difficult to assume that Chopin would like to end a slur before resolving the suspension, particularly since a similar measure was present already in the previous bar. In spite of this, GE1 (→FEEE) includes slurs embracing three notes only, which was corrected in GE2. In the main text we also add a slur in the analogous figure in bar 296.

b. 295

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

In the part of the R.H. A (→GE1FE) has only one , before the 2nd semiquaver. The necessary signs for the b2 and bnotes were added in the remaining editions.

b. 295-304

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

No L.H. slurs in A (→GE1FE)

L.H. slurs in EE & GE2

..

The slurs in the L.H. added in bars 295-296, 299-300, 302 and 304 in EE and GE2 are almost certainly an arbitrary revision. See bars 297-298.

Fingering written into FED

Fingering written into FEH

No fingering in FE (→GE)

Fontana's fingering in EE

Our suggestion based on FED & FEH

..

All fingerings are compliant in the fragments where their ranges overlap. In the main text, we suggest a compilation of the entry of FED and the part of the entry of FEH that complements it, which specify the hand position in the initial part of the bar.
