b. 296

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

..

In FE1 the last note of the triplet is printed a third higher, by mistake, as a b1. The mistake was corrected in FE2, perhaps by Chopin.

Fingering written into FED

Fingering written into FEH

No fingering in FE (→GE)

Fontana's fingering in EE

..

The first finger on is given in all three sources containing fingering, and it is this digit that we include in the main text. Further indications of FEH, written by a foreign hand, present one of the possibilities of fingering this fragment; it is difficult to evaluate the likelihood of their authenticity, rather inconsiderable.
