b. 125

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt II

No slur in FE (→EE,GE1GE2)

Slur in GE3

Slur suggested by the editors

..

The missing slur under the last semiquaver triplet seems to be an inaccuracy of notation, although one cannot exclude that in the face of the progressing smorzando, Chopin did not feel the need to clarify the legato articulation of these notes. The reviser of GE3 considered the missing slur to be an inaccuracy.

b. 125-126

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

e repeated in Atut (→FEGE)

e tied in EE

..

An additional tie of is almost certainly an arbitrary revision of EE. Chopin proofread FE, adding similar ties in the two previous bars; in spite of a minor inaccuracy in the implementation of that proofreading, there is no reason to assume that he then overlooked a tie in that place.

b. 125

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

At the beginning of the bar, there is no  raising g1 to gin Atut. While writing the fourth consecutive g1, Chopin did not notice that the mark should be repeated in the new bar. The sharp was added already in FE (→GE,EE).

b. 125

composition: Op. 16, Rondo in E♭ major

Slur to grace note in FE

Slur to crotchet in GE & EE

..

The fact that the slur of FE does not reach the c1-a1 sixth was considered an inaccuracy already in GE and EE.

b. 125-126

composition: Op. 38, Ballade in F major

 in A (→GC,FE)

in EE

in GE

..

The  hairpin under the L.H. motif in bars 125-126 is shorter than in similar situations, which must have resulted from the transition to a new page. In the main text we give a longer mark modelled after the previous bars; such a version is included also in GE. In the remaining editions the hairpin was shortened with respect to the notation of A, which could not have been intended by Chopin.
