b. 125

composition: Op. 31, Scherzo in B♭ minor

D1 in A (→FCGE)

D in FE (→EE)

..

The version of FE (→EE) is a result of Chopin's proofreading, hence we give it in the main text. However, the traces of the correction do not allow us to say conclusively whether it was D1 that was being corrected or another erroneous note; therefore, the version of the remaining sources may be considered an equivalent variant.

b. 125

composition: Op. 22, Polonaise

in GE & EE

No sign in FE

..

The missing  mark must be an inaccuracy of FE (it is the last bar in the line), corrected both in GE and EE.

b. 125

composition: Op. 22, Polonaise

Quavers in FE (→EE1)

Semiquavers in GE & EE2

..

Semiquavers instead of small quavers are an arbitrary revision of GE. This inauthentic version was also introduced in EE2, most probably on the basis of comparison with GE1. The same in b. 126.

b. 125

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

There are no accidentals before the last R.H. octave in GC & FE1 (→FE2EE1). The necessary  restoring c1 was added while correcting FE3 (→FE4). In GE and EE2 naturals were added before both notes of the octave.
