Title: | Second Concerto |
Dedication: | Madame la Comtesse Delphine Potocka née de Komar |
A pupil's copy from a collection belonging to Chopin's pupil, Jane Stirling. It contains numerous annotations, including:
- fingering in bar 6 and 24,
- performance indication – in bar 1,
- corrections of printing errors – in bar 39 (grace note before the trill), 77 (deleton of a note, most probably erroneous) and two in bar 83 (minim in the L.H. and the last octave in the R.H.).
The most extensive, unique entry is a different version of the middle section (bars 45-72), to be used when performing the Concerto solo, in which the recitative (the top line, played by the R.H.) is complemented with figurative harmonic accompaniment.
