Title: | Second Concerto |
Dedication: | Madame la Comtesse Delphine Potocka née de Komar |
A pupil's copy from a collection belonging to Camille O'Meara-Dubois. It contains numerous annotations in pencil performed by both Chopin and the owner of the collection, Miss O'Méara. They prove that the Concerto was carefully developed during lessons with Chopin.
Above all, the annotations encompass fingering (in bar 7, 23, 28, 44-45, 53, 73, 80) and corrections of printing errors (in bar 1 and 83). In addition, Chopin marked:
- performance of the first grace note of the group of grace notes in the R.H. simultaneously with the bass note in bars 7 and 9 and 26 and 75,
- in bar 21, perhaps also in bar 90,
- possible variant in bar 41 and 90 (?),
- in bar 87.
