Morch - Manuscript of the orchestra part
Date: | X 1835 – II 1836 |
Title: | Second Concerto |
Dedication: | Madame la Comtesse Delphine Potocka née de Komar |
The parts of the orchestra instruments of ½A are not written by Chopin, hence they had to be copied from an earlier notation. According to us, it is [SI] – lost manuscript of the score of the Concerto, written probably at the beginning of 1830 – that is the most likely candidate in this case, according to us.
Chopin controlled Morch, although most probably randomly – in this movement of the Concerto there are no corrections written by his hand (see the characterization of Morch in the 1st movement).
Since the orchestral part of ½A has a marginal meaning at the time of determining the text of the solo part, we do not give here the transcript of Morch (the system presents the text of A) or a scan, since images of the entire ½A are given as the scan of the source of A.
