Title: | Douze Etudes || 4me Etude |
Dedication: | Madame la Comtesse d'Agoult |
Corrected impression of GE1, published probably slightly after it – see the characteristics of GE1a in the Etude in A major, No. 1. In this Etude – same as in two previous and two next ones – no changes were introduced into the score, as a result of which in the detailed notes we consider this impression a part of GE1 and we do not include it when mentioning the sources.
GE1a was provided with a slightly differing covers, in particular the copies from 1841 include a changed price (15 Ngr instead of 12 Gr). From 1841, particular Etudes were published also separately, provided with a collective cover including 12 etudes each by Chopin, Henselt and Thalberg.
