EE3 returned the overlooked dedication in EE2, placing it over the musical text of the 1st page of the Etude in Amajor, No. 1. Among the changes in the musical text, additions of accidentals prevail, also of cautionary, e.g., a before G in bars 7 and 15, lowering a to a in bar 21 and a few further in bars 24-25, as well as dynamics, e.g., in bars 39-40, 44-46, 50, 52-53 and 55. A slur in bar 27 was also completed. Convergence of a number of these additions with the text of GE1 and GE2 suggests that at the time of revision a copy of an impression of the first German edition (probably GE1) was used.
