GE5 - Fifth German edition
Publisher: | Fr. Kistner |
Date: | ⇒1872 |
Title: | Douze Grandes Etudes || No. 4 |
Dedication: | SON AMI F. LISZT |
The fifth German edition introduces only minor changes to the text of GE4, e.g., in this Etude the mistake in bar 27 was corrected and a cautionary before a2 in bar 42 was added. However, there are also some mistakes, e.g., the value of the last note in the L.H. in bar 27 was extended and the wedges in bar 44 were omitted. The editors had at their disposal only the first book of GE5, including the Etudes Nos. 1-6.
