Title: | Douze Grandes Etudes || No. 4 |
Dedication: | SON AMI F. LISZT |
Second German edition, in which the text of GE1 was subject to a quite detailed revision:
- erroneous staccato dots in bar 27 were deleted;
- slurs were added in the L.H. in bar 29 (arbitrarily) and 51-52, as well as slurs in the R.H. in bar 68;
- a number of cautionary naturals was added – e.g. a before b1 at the beginning of bar 38, before d at the beginning of bar 40, f2 and c1 in bar 52;
- pedalling in bars 42-45 was completed and clarified.
