Publisher: | Fr. Kistner |
Date: | 1834-1840 |
Title: | Douze Grandes Etudes || No. 3 |
Dedication: | SON AMI F. LISZT |
Corrected impression of GE1, in which all mistakes mentioned in its characteristics were deleted; moreover, certain arbitrary revisions, more or less justified, were also performed, e.g., added slurs in bars 42-43 and 44-45, wedges in bar 46, slur in bar 64, tie of f1 and accents in bars 65-66, slur and dynamic hairpins in bar 66.
GE1a corrected the erroneous initial of Liszt's name (J) in the dedication. There are copies displaying marginal differences in the cover's details.
The editors of mUltimate Chopin did not encounter differing impressions of the first German edition of the second book of the Etudes.
