Title: | Grande Sonate |

First Italian edition based on a copy of GE without the final alterations. The text of the Stichvorlage was given in IE1 with inaccuracies, and errors were sometimes not avoided, e.g.:
- extending the mark in bar 13,
- f instead of g at the beginning of bar 106,
- omitting a in bar 163,
- omitting a slur in bar 176.
A number of editorial changes were also made, i.a.:
- the c3 note in the 1st chord in bar 38 was overlooked,
- d2/d2 was changed to c2 in bar 87,
- a lowering c1 to c1 in bar 170 was added,
- long accents in bar 232 were added,
- the range of the 2nd slur in bar 245 was changed.
In some cases, IE guessed Chopin's intention in spite of a mistake or an inaccuracy in the Stichvorlage, or removed certain defects or ambiguities of notation, e.g.:
- the vague curved line in the L.H. in bar 24 was reproduced as a tie to g,
- the unnecessarily repeated to e2 in bar 121 was omitted,
- a to g3 in bar 164 was added, overlooked by Chopin,
- endings of the ties/slurs in bar 240 were added, probably overlooked by Chopin.
