EE2 corrected a number of errors from the first impression, and introduced some arbitrary changes.
The corrections of mistakes include, e.g.:
- providing the opus number,
- correcting the position of the quaver beam in bar 11,
- adding a slur in bar 163.
Some distinct errors escaped the editor's attention, e.g.:
- c1 (c
1?) instead of b at the beginning of bar 108; - f instead of d at the end of bar 108;
- d1 instead of d1 in bar 247.
Among the arbitrary additions and changes, the following can be mentioned:
in b. 4;- L.H. fingering in b. 131, R.H. one in b. 224 and 247;
- change of c1 to c1 in b. 170;
- change of the R.H. rhythm in b. 240.
There are known copies of EE2 with two versions of the title page. The copy presented in mUltimate Chopin has a later version, introduced in 1852* (the earlier one can be seen in the copy of EE1).
