b. 129-130

composition: Op. 23, Ballade in G minor

..

In A, the slur at the end of b. 129, the last on the page, clearly suggests that it should be continued, yet there is no ending thereof in b. 130. We assume – as FE (→GE,EE) did – that it reaches b, the 1st crotchet in b. 130.

issues: Inaccurate slurs in A , Uncertain slur continuation

b. 130

composition: Op. 43, Tarantella

..

In all sources except EE and GE4 there is redundant  before  d2 in RH.

b. 130

composition: Op. 43, Tarantella

A, FC3 (→FEIE), GE1 (→GE2GE3), EE

..

In GE4 the third quaver in LH is f1 instead of d1. The LH part notated this way resembles the corresponding b. 122, so it must have been edited accordingly, yet we cannot rule out b. 130 being the correct version.

Moreover, in all sources except EE there is redundant  in this place.

b. 130

composition: Op. 43, Tarantella

FC3 (→FEIE), GE

In A in LH is not dotted. In EE this note is notated as a quaver only. Compare annotation in b. 4.

b. 130

composition: Op. 38, Ballade in F major

2 slurs in A (→EE,EE)

1 slur in GC (→GE)

..

In A the slur in the L.H. was corrected – Chopin originally wrote one slur embracing the upper voice of the L.H. from the middle of bar 129 to the middle of bar 131, then he corrected it by dividing it into two parts in the middle of bar 130. This corrected variant was included in FE and EE, while in GC there is a version with one slur starting earlier, that is from the quaver in the bottom voice, which was then repeated in GE. In the main text we give the corrected version of A.
