The detailed fingering of FEH is almost certainly identical with the one Chopin meant while marking the position of the 1st finger in FED. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Annotations in teaching copies , Annotations in FED , Annotations in FEH |

The missing wedge over the 2nd chord is most probably an oversight of FE, repeated in the majority of the remaining editions. The only exception is GE3, in which both chords are provided with dots like in the previous bar. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: GE revisions , Wedges |

In the main text, we suggest adding pedalling markings, since there is no doubt that this bar should be performed in the same manner as the previous one. The markings were added already in GE3. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: GE revisions |

In FE, there is no accidental before the 2nd chord. The inaccuracy was corrected in the remaining editions by adding a before the top note (d3) in GE1 (→GE2) and EE and before the bottom one in GE3. The difference can be explained by the fact that it is only in GE3 that the 1st chord of the bar is written without octave sign. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Accidentals in different octaves , Inaccuracies in FE , GE revisions |
