The range of the slur in Atut is unclear – in bar 103, in a new line of text, there is no ending of the slur that suggests a continuation in the previous bar. According to us, the explanation is to be looked for at the repetition of this phrase in bars 113-115, written in one line of text – in that place, the slur is clearly led to the beginning of bar 115. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness issues: Inaccurate slurs in A |

All indications concerning the instrumentation in bars 103-105 were added by Chopin in the proofreading of FE (→GE,EE). There is a similar situation in bars 115-117. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Authentic corrections of FE |

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

We consider the omitted accent under the beginning of the characteristic motif, imitated in the parts of French horns, bassoons and clarinets, to be Chopin's inadvertence. The mark is present in analogous bar 116, whereas in the part of bassoons, both bars are marked in the same way. The accent was added in EE, probably on the basis of comparison with bar 116. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions |

We give the long accents in bars 105, 107 and 117 after Atut. In the editions, they were reproduced as short ones, whereas in GE, the mark in bar 105 was overlooked. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Long accents , Inaccuracies in FE , Errors in GE |

b. 107
|
composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I
..
When interpreted literally, the slur of Atut begins from the 2nd third in bar 107, which was repeated in FE (→EE). In turn, in GE, the beginning of the slur was moved to the beginning of the bar. The fact of beginning the slur from the 1st third, obvious from the point of view of slurring, may also be, to a certain extent, graphically justified – the slurs in bars 104 and 105, unquestionable due to the context, also begin far from the notes they apply to. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources issues: Inaccurate slurs in A , GE revisions |
