Rhythm

b. 35-36

composition: Op. 27 No 2, Nocturne in D♭ major

..

Written into FES are six signs showing the rhythmic relation between the two hands more precisely. As the source notation contains no  ambiguities here, the signs are simply learning tips for the pupil to be used during lessons. Cf. bars 38-40.

b. 35-36

composition: Op. 27 No 2, Nocturne in D♭ major

..

In GE the arrangement of notes in the left hand not always strictly maintains the rhythmic correlation with the part of the right hand: the 6th note in bar 35 is placed under the two-note chord of the triplet in the right hand (evidently against the notation of A). The 4th and the 6th note in the 2nd half of bar 36 are also imprecisely placed. Cf. bars 38-39.

A tie between the grace note and the third c sharp2-e2 in A and GE2

No tie in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

The tie in A sustaining a small c sharp2 note was omitted in GE1 (→FEEE), probably due to lack of attention. It was restored in GE2. Cf. bar 12.

In A the quaver flag is missing in the 3rd quaver of the bar. Chopin's obvious mistake was corrected in GE (→FEEE). It might have been noticed by Chopin himself, but it is more probable that it was the reviewer of GE that made the correction
