b. 61-62

composition: Op. 27 No 2, Nocturne in D♭ major

A slur in A (→GEFE)

A slur in EE

..

In EE, the slur reaches the crotchet d flat1 ending the phrase in bar 62. This is, however, not in line with the notation of A (→GEFE) and has to be considered an arbitrary change made by the reviewer of EE.

No markings in GE1 (→FEEE)

Elements added in FEFr

..

The marking , present in A, was omitted in GE1 (→FEEE), and reappeared only in GE2. The   and  added in FEFr are the alternative supplement to the incomplete notation of the majority of editions (both sets of markings describe a similar - if not identical - performance).

composition: Op. 27 No 2, Nocturne in D♭ major

Sustaining of d flat only in bar 64 in A (→GE)

Sustaining begins in bar 63 in FE (→EE)

..

In A (→GE) the sustaining of notes d flat with the hand is marked only in bar 64. When proofing FE (→EE), Chopin decided to extend that notation to the 2nd half of bar 63 and the entire bar 65. Cf. bars 67-69.
