Morch - Manuscript of the orchestra part
Date: | X 1835 – II 1836 |
Title: | Second Concerto |
Dedication: | Madame la Comtesse Delphine Potocka née de Komar |
The parts of the orchestral instruments of ½A are not written by Chopin, hence they had to be copied from an earlier notation. According to us, it is [SI] that is the most likely contender – a lost manuscript of the Concerto's score, created probably at the beginning of 1830 (see the characterization of Morch in the 1st mov.).
Chopin did control Morch, although most probably at random. It is clearly evidenced by corrections in the parts of orchestral instruments written by his hand, e.g. in bars 317-318 (violin, viola).
Since the orchestral part of ½A has a marginal meaning at the time of determining the text of the solo part, we do not give here a transcript of Morch (the system displays the text of A) or a scan, because the photos of the entire ½A are presented as the scan of the source of A.
