Title: | Deux Valses pour Piano || Valse No. 2 |
Dedication: | None |
The earliest English edition of the first two Waltzes, Op. 64, in which the text of FE, with a few exceptions, was repeated. According to M. J. E. Brown (Chopin: An Index of His Works in Chronological Order, New York 1972) it was a pirate edition, which, however, in light of newer research turned out to be an assumption not based on the knowledge of the reality*.
Differences with respect to FE include, e.g.:
- no signs in bars 7-8,
- no bottom slur in the R.H. in bars 16-17,
- no accent in bar 39.
The visible in the presented copy sparse additions in pencil are of no source value.
