Omission of in both versions of GE, including the subsequent corrected editions and impressions, indicates an oversight of this indication in the proof copy of FE, being the base text for GE. In the finished FE the sign was completed in the last phase of proofreading. Cf. bars 87-92. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , FE revisions |

In A the bars are marked in an abbreviated manner as repetition of bars 13-20. Chopin, as usually, used numerated empty bars, however, he introduced dynamic indications. The engraver of FE did not understand or ignored this, as initially he took into consideration only the signs in three last bars, furthermore with a mistake – see the adjacent note in this bar and in bars 87-92. category imprint: Source & stylistic information issues: Abbreviated notation of A |

Generally, the dynamic hairpin in GE is incomplete and erroneous in these bars. The traces visible in FE prove that the mistake was committed first in this edition, which, through a proof copy, went into GE. In FE (→EE) the signs were corrected and completed in the last phase of proofreading, perhaps with Chopin's participation. A possible reason of mistakes of the engraver of FE could have been the abbreviated notation of A with dynamic signs, which could have impeded their assignment to correct bars. In the main text we suggest signs of FE in bars 87-90, analogous to signs in bars 15-18 and perhaps corrected by Chopin. In turn, in bars 91-92 we give signs of A, since in FE the sign in bar 91 was probably accidentally overlooked. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Errors in GE , GE revisions , Authentic corrections of FE , Inaccuracies in A |

The ornament sign (in bar 20, as in bar 92 it is marked in the manuscripts as its repetition), not entirely legible in A, was reproduced in the editions as (apart from GE2op and #GE3op, in which the sign was overlooked).
