As it was described in bars 21-24, in the previous autographs Chopin used here a version which in A and in the editions appeared right there. In AI and AII it was preserved in its earliest form, with triads in bar 30.

In the main text we add a cautionary  before e1 in bar 19, a similar action was taken in all subsequent editions.

Omission of  in both versions of GE, including the subsequent corrected editions and impressions, indicates an oversight of this indication in the proof copy of FE, being the base text for GE. In the finished FE the sign was completed in the last phase of proofreading. Cf. bars 87-92.

The absence of  in both forms of GE, typeset independently, may mean that the indication was initially overlooked in FE, in which it was then added in the last phase of proofreading. It is even more likely, considering the fact that an identical situation concerns the accent in the previous bar.
