Dedication: | Madame la Comtesse d'Agoult |
Pupil's copy of FE3 from the collection of Chopin works belonging to his pupil Jane Stirling. It contains a few annotations in pencil, rather atypical for Chopin's handwriting, which, however, does not question, according to us, its credibility as indications coming from Chopin:
- fingering in bars 5 and 9-10;
- correction of errors of the edition (change of e2 to d2 in bar 6 and addition of the overlooked in bar 14).
The visible in bar 3 before g2 in the last triplet is of reminding nature, it is probably a lesson note, correcting the pupil's mistake.
