This edition was prepared in two versions: as a volume containing the entire Opus 24, and as four separate Mazurkas published individually.
Changes and additions introduced to GE2 are mostly based on re-reading of A. Corrections were made in dynamic marks (e.g. accents in bars 73-88), pedalling (e.g. bars 21-36) and slurring (e.g. bar 57). Arbitrary changes are mostly made to make similar fragments more uniform (e.g. slur endings in bar 10 and analogous bars) or to adjust Chopin's notation to prevailing conventions (e.g. adding little slurs linking grace notes with their main notes throughout the entire Mazurka).
We present the Mazurka in the version published separately. Due to the fact that an individual title page of the opus was replaced with a collective list of the Mazurkas, the dedication was omitted. Pencil additions that can be seen in the presented copy have no source value.
