The slur added in EE3, probably modelled on the one added in EE in bars 16-17, is definitely inauthentic. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions |

In bars 102-103, the sources have two different versions of the R.H. part. In A (→GE) the text almost entirely follows the version found in analogous bars 18-19 and 50-51, the only difference being the presence of the staccato sign on the 2nd beat of bar 103 – a wedge in A, a dot in GE. When correcting FE (→EE), Chopin varied the last repetition of that phrase filling both bars with uniform quaver movement. The slur added in EE3 was modelled on authentic slurs from bars 15-16 and analogous bars. However, we do not include that slur, as Chopin actually marked the last appearance of the main theme of the Mazurka by that slight difference. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions |

Chopin's wedge from A was rendered in GE1 as a dot, which was repeated by FE (→EE). Moreover, GE2 (→GE3) have another dot in the L.H. We base our main text on A. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions |

The accent that falls on the 3rd beat in A (→GE) was omitted from FE (→EE), probably accidentally left out by the engraver. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE |
