Initially, the 2rd and the 3rd crotchet were e flat-a flat-c1 triads in A. Then Chopin erased both a flat notes and this was the version that appeared in GE. The note a flat reappears in FE (→EE), but only on the 2nd beat. This is probably the result of Chopin's correction in FE. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations issues: Corrections in A , Authentic corrections of FE |

The initial section of the slur in bar 67 (the bar that opens a new page in A) may suggest that the slur is continued from the previous page, but no slur begins in bar 66. Nonetheless, in GE (→FE→EE) the slur is drawn from f2 in bar 66. Fortunately, this inaccuracy in reading A proved consistent with Chopin's later corrections of analogous slurs in bars 58-59 and 62-63. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Inaccurate slurs in A |
