Shortening the slur at the end of bar 215 is a result of an inaccurate interpretation of GE1 by the engraver of FE (→EE). Interestingly, the reviser of GE2 not only introduced a similar change, but he also moved the beginning of the next slur, probably considering this type of a hidden coincidence of slurs to be illogical, hence – erroneous.

In bar 215, there is no  raising d1 to d1 in FE. There is a similar situation in bar 217, where, in addition, there is no  raising d to d. These patent inaccuracies were corrected in the remaining editions.

The cautionary  before a1 is present in FE (→EE) and GE3. The absence of the mark in GE1 (→GE2) may indicate that it was added in the last proofreading of FE.
In EE, a  was added before f1, which seems to be poorly justified in this context.
