composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

4 short accents in A

2 short accents in GE1 (→FE)

2 vertical accents in EE

3 short accents in GE2

..

The missing one or two accents in the L.H. are certainly a result of mistakes of the engraver of GE1 (→FEEE) and the reviser of GE2. The change of the type of accents in EE is a routine revision in this edition.

No sign in sources

[] suggested by the editors

..

The absence of the  sign in this place is undoubtedly Chopin's oversight, which may have been caused by the transition to a new page (the sign would fall at the end of page of A).

Slur in bar 173 in A & GE2

Slur in bar 172 in GE1 (→FE)

2 slurs in EE

..

The absence of the slur in bar 173 in GE1 (→FE) is certainly a mistake. However, it is probably not an oversight, but a "mirror" mistake (reverse sign): instead of placing the slur to the right of the bar line, the engraver printed it on the left-hand side, where it makes no sense in this context (cf. Waltz in C minor Op. 64 no. 2, bars 76-77). In EE the slur was added in the right place, but the one in bar 172 was also preserved. GE2 has a version compliant with A
