The version of AsI must be earlier, which is probably to be seen in clarinet I too – it seems that the 4th quaver was added later (along with , which was then deleted).

The hairpin   is only present in GC (→GE). Its lack in EE and FE probably results from inaccurate notation (in EE it may simply be an oversight – cf. other probable errors in this fragment). Analogous bars 216-218 have hairpins in all the sources.

The slur in GC – as is the case in bars 166 and 182 – does not go beyond the bar line. However, the end of the slur here is clearly closer to the chord in bar 175 than that in bar 174, which was the reason why in GE it was interpreted as reaching the 1st beat of bar 175, in line with the remaining sources.

On the 2nd crotchet in FE0 (→FE) there is no c1, probably as a result of a misinterpretation of the autograph. Chopin added this note in FEG (→GE) and in the base text to EE.
