The octaves in AsI in b. 112 and at the beginning of b. 116 are probably the initial version, possibly a temporary variant, eventually abandoned by Chopin (the latter could be indicated by the notation with the carelessly written down 8s, probably added later, since the other octaves are written down without abbreviations). category imprint: Corrections & alterations issues: Chopin's hesitations , Bass register changes , Abbreviated octaves' notation |

In FE1, there are 3 crotchets in the bottom voice, which is a mistake (we reproduce them in our system in the "transcript" version only), which was corrected in FE2 by adding a quaver beam combining all 3 notes. We give this version, probably the latest authentic one, in the main text. See also the note at the end of the bar. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Authentic corrections of FE |

In the main text we do not include the fingering of AsI due to the change of the rhythmic value of the b2 note at the beginning of the 2nd half of the bar, influencing the hand position – see the note at the beginning of this bar. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations |

In AsI, in both bars, Chopin added a fingering with pencil; in b. 114 it was already a second version of fingering, replacing the earlier ink entry. In the main text we include the later version; as alternative solutions, we suggest the earlier version or both in a variant form. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations; Source & stylistic information issues: Differences in fingering |
