FE1 is based on FC3 and was most probably the only first edition corrected by Chopin. (Possible corrections include e.g. insertion of missing to g flat in RH in b. 84 and in RH in b. 174). However, it is not void of inaccuracies such as missing accidentals (e.g. in b. 165). The images of FE1 uploaded here come from two different copies from The Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw. Pages 1-5 and 13-16 belong to the copy with signature 3943/n, and pages 6-12 belong to the copy with signature D/498 form the collection of Ludwika Jędrzejewiczowa. The former is complete - even with the extant coloured wraper, which is rare among Chopin’s first editions. It also contains subsequently added pencil annotations of no source value. The latter is blank, however, the final score page and the last blank are missing. Both copies come from the same print run, which appeared soon after the earliest one and differs only in the addition of the Italian editor’s surname on its cover.
