In the main text, we add a cautionary  before a3. In turn, we omit the ​​​​​​​ before a1 in the chord in the L.H., which is present in FE (→EE). Its absence in GE may mean that it was added in the last phase of proofreading (cf. bar 221).

The version of GE, in which the figures in the L.H. in the 2nd halves of bars 250 and 251 are swapped, was initially also in FE, where, however, Chopin changed it in the last stage of proofreading. It was most probably a mistake of the engraver of FE. The correct order of figurations in FE is additionally confirmed by the fingering written in FED in bar 251.

In GE1 (→GE2), there are no naturals lowering c and c​​​​​​​1 to c and c1. They were probably added in the last phase of proofreading of FE (→EE). Naturals were added also in GE3.

In FE, there are visible traces of proofreading of the slur – originally, both bars had identical slurs, encompassing only the 1st halves of each of them. As a result of proofreading, undoubtedly Chopinesque, the slur in bar 289 begins earlier, encompassing the last two notes of bar 288.
