Date: | ca 1856-1860 |
Plate number: | W & Co. No. 1086 |
Title: | Premier Grand Concerto |
Dedication: | Monsieur Fr. Kalkbrenner |
A corrected impression of EE, dating back to ca. 1856-1860; it was available also later, after the Wessel's publishing house had been taken over by the Ashdown & Parry company. It is from that period (ca. 1864*) that the copy presented in mUltimate Chopin comes.
Some changes introduced in EE2 were drawn from GE2, including the most important one – removing b1 from the chord on the last quaver in bar 44. In addition, in the case of this movement of the Concerto, EE2 only enhanced it a little, e.g. a staccato dot was added under G in bar 101.
