In GE3, prepared almost 10 years after Chopin's death, the text of GE2 was thoroughly revised, both in terms of the substantial and graphic element – the division into pages and great staves was changed, slurs and other articulation markings were ordered, eventually, the notation of accidentals was revised.
A number of the introduced changes are accurate corrections of mistakes and inaccuracies, e.g.:
- slurring in bars 17-19, 37, 51, 76, 78 was changed and/or completed,
- a
returning e2 in bar 39 and 41 was added as well as a 
raising a1 to a
1 in bar 49, and returning b2 and f1 in bar 103, - unnecessarily repeated accidentals in bar 39 and analog. were removed, also in bar 42, 72,
- the overlooked tie of b2 was added in bar 50, g2 in bar 56, d2 in bar 73,
- pedalling was added in bars 50-52,
- pedalling was changed in bar 108 after analogous bar 106;
- the
mark in bar 64, probably misplaced, was moved, - the erroneous f was changed to d in bar 82, b1 to c2 in bar 93, a2 to g2 in bar 112, g1 to b1 in bar 123,
- the erroneous rhythm in bar 85 was changed,
- the erroneous beaming in bar 99 was changed,
- staccato dots were added in bar 103.
Moreover, less legitimate changes were introduced, sometimes even totally arbitrary:
- the slurs in bar 54 were changed,
- fingering in bar 56 and 123 was added;
- a fourth rest was added in bar 63.
In addition, a number of errors was committed:
- in bar 94, an erroneous change of layout of the quavers in the L.H. was added to the erroneous rhythm repeated after GE2. In the same bar, the erroneous beam on the 4th beat of the bar was revised by adding the digit '6';
- slurs in bar 3, 51 were overlooked;
- the accent in bar 48 was overlooked.
A few mistakes repeated after GE2 remained uncorrected, e.g. d instead of f as the 2nd semiquaver in the L.H. in bar 108.
