Issues : Omissions to cancel alteration

b. 328

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In FE, there is no accidental before the 8th semiquaver in the R.H., which requires it to be interpreted as e3. This kind of distortion of a regular, virtuoso sequence is unimaginable. Therefore, the reviser of GE was certainly right to add a  before this note. However, EE did not correct this oversight, so typical of Chopin.

b. 408-409

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

There is no  restoring b in bar 408 before the last semiquaver in the L.H. in FE; the same applies to b1 in bar 409. These patent oversights, repeated almost certainly after [A], were corrected in GE (in both bars) and partially in EE (only in bar 409).

b. 408

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In FE (→EE), there is no  restoring g1 in the chromatic sequence in the R.H. In GE, this patent mistake was corrected. In addition, in FE there is no  raising c1 to c1 in the L.H. This mistake was corrected both in GE and EE

b. 482-484

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In FE, there are no accidentals before the 7th semiquaver in the L.H. in bar 482 and the penultimate semiquaver in the R.H. in bars 483 and 484. Therefore, those notes should be interpreted as f and f1, which would interfere with the regularity of the figuration, undoubtedly intended here by Chopin. The first two oversights were corrected in GE and in EE2 (→EE3), probably on the basis thereof. The mistake in bar 484 remained uncorrected in all editions.

b. 561

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In FE, there is no  raising c3 to c3. The patent mistake was corrected in GE and EE. In turn, the missing  restoring g3, necessary in this context, even as a cautionary accidental, was added only in GE.
