Title: | Grande polonaise brillante précédée d'un Andante spianato |
Dedication: | Madame d'Est |
A copy from a collection belonging to Chopin's pupil, Camille O'Méara-Dubois. It contains a few annotations performed in pencil and coming from Chopin, including some most probably written by his hand. They almost exclusively concern the fingering – b. 5, 17, 27, 29, 36 and 41. Therefore, it is the entry in b. 1 that stand out, which indicates a slightly lower value of the metronome tempo. It is one of two such annotations in teaching copies (the second applies to the Nocturne in A Major, Op. 32 No. 2).
