We interpret the slur of A, started at the end of a page in bar 173 and unfinished on the next page, in accordance with the notation of bars 169-179 and the slurs in the R.H. in bars 169-170 and 171-172. The absence of the slur over (under) the triplet in bar 174 must be Chopin's oversight. The slur of GE (→FE) is probably a result of a Chopin proofreading of GE1, whereas the slur of EE – of a revision.
