Afin - Autograph fragment of Finale
Date: | 23 V 1846 |
Title: | Presto | fragment d'une Sonate |
Dedication: | None |
A presentation autograph of the 12 initial bars of the Sonata's finale, dated "Paris 23 May 1846" and signed FChopin. The notation is very hasty, the part of the L.H. is written only until the middle of bar 9 and then marked as unisono. Excluding minor inaccuracies, as far as the pitch is concerned, the text of [A] differs from the published version only in one place – in the second note in bar 12. The performance indications are Presto, at the beginning and a slur over the entire part of the R.H.
