b. 180

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

In A (→GE1FE) there are no naturals before the trilled din the R.H. and the topmost note of the 3rd crotchet in the L.H. The sign in the R.H. was added in EE1 (→EE2), whereas GE2 and #GE3 include the fully correct notation.

Whole-bar slur in A & GE2

Triplet slur in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

Replacing the whole-bar slur of A with a slur embracing only the triplet is undoubtedly an arbitrary decision of the engraver of GE1 (→FEEE). The authentic notation was restored in GE2

Fingering written into FEH (whole)

No teaching fingering

Fingering written into FEH probably by Chopin

..

The fingering visible in FEH was written here probably first by the pupil and then changed and completed. The correction, performed by a different hand than the original entry and similar to Chopin's handwriting, allows us to evaluate the authenticity of the later entry to be highly likely, hence we give it in the main text.
