The lack of three subsequent slurs in the L.H. part is almost certainly an oversight of the engraver of GE1 (→GE2). A slur in the bottom voice in bar 229 was added in GE3 after analogy with adjacent bars.

Just like in b. 224, the cautionary flats before a1 and b1 on the 2nd quaver of the bar were added at the time of proofreading of FE (→GE). The accidentals are absent in EE1; however, they were added in EE2. In the main text we also add a  before a1, the 2nd R.H. semiquaver.
