b. 119

composition: Op. 2, Variations, complete

..

In the main text we add a cautionary  to e3 and a  to a3. A natural was also added in GE3, while a  is present in AsI. In addition, in AsI, a  was repeated before the penultimate semiquaver.

b. 119-123

composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor

..

In the main text we add cautionary naturals to a1 in bars 119, 121 and 123. The first two were also added in GE on the basis of the pencil additions to FC by the reviser of that edition.

b. 119-123

composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor

No arpeggio signs in FC (→GE1)

Arpeggio signs in FE (→EE) & GE2

..

The missing arpeggios to the tenth chords in bars 119, 121 and 123 are most probably an oversight by the copyist in FC (→GE1), revised in GE2.

No markings in main text

..

The pedalling of PE, with a  mark at the beginning of bar 120, although harmonically correct, is probably inaccurate, which is indicated by a comparison with analogous bars 15-16 and 47-48. The correction introduced in GE seems to be a compromise between the pedalling of the aforementioned bars and the markings of PE in the discussed bar. In the main text we omit pedal markings here, as before – see bars 17-24

b. 119-121

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

..

In the main text we omit the naturals that were unnecessarily repeated in A (→GE) and FE in the chords in the 2nd half of bar 119 (to B) and 121 (to B, b and d2). The aforementioned accidentals in bar 121 were also omitted in EE1, but EE2 restored the  to d2.
