The pedalling of PE, with a mark at the beginning of bar 120, although harmonically correct, is probably inaccurate, which is indicated by a comparison with analogous bars 15-16 and 47-48. The correction introduced in GE seems to be a compromise between the pedalling of the aforementioned bars and the markings of PE in the discussed bar. In the main text we omit pedal markings here, as before – see bars 17-24.
