b. 116

composition: Op. 25 No 10, Etude in B minor

..

There are no accidentals before the last octave in the R.H. in GC and EE1 (→EE2). Chopin added the overlooked naturals in the proofreading of FE, they are also in GE and EE3.

b. 116

composition: Op. 25 No 10, Etude in B minor

..

We add cautionary naturals before the 2nd octave (D-d), and we remove flats, unnecessarily repeated before the 10th octave (G-g).

b. 116

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

Quaver e in A (→FEEE1)

Crotchet e in GE & EE2

Our suggestion

..

In the main text we give the part of the L.H. on the basis of Chopin proofreading in bar 12 and 60. The version of GE is almost certainly a revision, unifying this and analogous bars after bar 164. It was repeated in EE2, despite the fact that in this edition it did not lead to such a unification.

b. 116

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

Slur in GC (→GE) & EE2

No slur in FE (→EE1)

..

Similarly to bar 108, the absence of the L.H. slur in FE (→EE1) could have been an oversight by the engraver of FE (rectified in EE2) or Chopin added this slur in #FC (→GE).

b. 116-117

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

Slur to sixth in bar 117 in A & GE2

Slur to end of bar 116 in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

Division of the slur at the bar line is a typical arbitrary decision of GE1 (→FEEE). Moreover, a staccato dot was overlooked in bar 117, which completely distorted the image of phrasing in this fragment. In GE2 the slur was led to the quaver in bar 117, in accordance with A.
