In the main text we omit the cautionary  next to din bar 8, present in the sources. Chopin probably feared that bat the beginning of the bar may trigger an association with d2. Similarly in bar 24, which in A is marked as a repetition of bar 8.

We add a cautionary  next to gin bar 8 and 16. One of them was written by Chopin himself in bar 8 in AI, while both signs were added by the revisers of GE and EEW1 (→EEW2).

Before the last cin the R.H. in A there is a natural written by someone else. The sign was printed in GE1 and deleted in GE2 (→GE3GE4). FE and EE are lacking it.

Chopin added a cautionary  before a1 still in the handwritten base text for FE (→GE,EE). In the situation in which the opening phrase of the Etude appears already for the third time, written from a new line of the text, the sign seems to be superfluous.
