Before the last semiquaver in bar 1 FE (→EE2) has an undoubtedly authentic cautionary . The revisers of GE and EE3 (→EE4) added it also in bar 5. According to us, the signs in such a regular figuration are superfluous.

The cautionary accidentals before c1 in the L.H. were added in the L.H. in one of the last proofreadings of FE (→GE). They are also included in EE, apart from the  missed in bar 5 in EE2 (the engraver of EE also omitted  in bar 6, thus there are no accidentals on the entire stave of the 3rd great stave). This undoubtedly necessary addition probably comes from Chopin, although the signs are not to be found in any of the manuscripts.

The fifth on the 3rd beat of bars 2 and 6 in CLI is probably the original version. The c1 notes were originally absent also in FE, as in both bars Chopin added them in FEcor. Chopin hesitated in which places to put the cautionary naturals before c1, which can already be seen in FEcor, where before the triad on the 2nd beat of bar 2, a  was written and then deleted. Eventually, FE (→EE2→EE3) has a sign before the triad on the 3rd beat of the bar, which we adopt to the main text in all analogous bars. GE1 (→GE1a) has a  before the 1st triad in both bars, while in the later editions arbitrary additions were also performed in this respect.

In bars 2 and 6 in one of the last proofreadings of FE (→GE,EE) cautionary naturals before c2 in the chord at the end of the bar were added. According to us, accidentals in those places are actually unjustified, yet due to their probable authenticity, we suggest to consider the first of them.
